Going shopping One pursuit that most of us need to be part of our lives is shopping. Whether we browse the isles of a supermarket or we shop online. Whether we visit the high street or the out of town shopping mail, it is a pass time that is essential to all of us, whether we like it or not. What is in our favour is that shopping is becoming equally assessable to everyone. The retailers, given time, will all be making a genuine effort to make your shopping experience, one that you enjoy. Most of them have addressed the issue, already. Me personally, have few hang ups about shopping. I dislike spending money and after being on my feet for too long my knees start to hurt. Nothing that a lottery win and an electric scooter wouldn't put right. But seriously, the things in between are becoming a challenge. Lifting groceries in and out of the car. The bags of newly purchased items and number of journeys back and forth from the car used to be taken for granted. Now they feel like an Olympic event. At the end of the day, it all boils down to making the task easier. Do it differently. Don't carry too much at once all at once. Have a rest for 10mins, then do the rest. I think the best thing about going shopping is stopping to enjoy a cafe latte. |
